Amboseli Budget Safari
Tour Summary
This 3 day 2 night safari takes you to one
of Kenya’s parks at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain at
5895m Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is one of the most popular of
Kenya’s national parks. Accommodation is in basic camping.
Tour begins in Nairobi and ends in Nairobi
Itinerary
Day
1: Nairobi to Amboseli
Depart in the morning and drive south to
Namanga, the Kenya/Tanzania border to arrive in time for lunch.
After lunch enter into Amboseli National Park with a possibility
of seeing game on the way to the campsite. The park and
surrounding game reserve cover 1260 square miles and is mostly
arid woodland with a series of swamps and lakes that provide a
year round water supply for the wildlife. Amboseli sits in the
shadow of Mt Kilimanjaro and is known for its large elephant
Population and other big game that is
attracted to the area by underground springs fed from Mt.
Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.
Day
2: Amboseli
Early morning game drive around the park
and to the Mt. Kilimanjaro
Viewing point, Africa's highest mountain.
The snows of the mountain form a
majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most
popular spectacular displays of
wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino,
cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game,
creating Kenya's most sought after
photographer's paradise. Return for late
breakfast then the rest of the morning at
leisure enjoying the lodges’ facilities.
Day
3: Amboseli to Nairobi
Proceed for an early morning game viewing
before
breaking camp and drive north to arrive
back in Nairobi early afternoon.
End of Safari.
