What you can expect from the Kenya Flying Safari Specials: You
just want to get away from it all for a few days and you either
looking for pure relaxing or you want to get in touch with
Africa’s wildlife? Then one of the following three Kenya Flying
Safari Specials might be the right thing for you. Go on exciting
game drives in Masai Mara National Reserve or in Samburu, the
home to many uncommon species such as reticulated Giraffe,
Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx and the long-necked Gerenuk Antelope
to name just a few. Or just chill out at the beach and do some
watersports in Lamu.
Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
You will be early picked from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta
International Airport or a city hotel and transferred to Wilson
Airport for the scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. Upon
arrival, you will be met for a game drive to the camp. Following
lunch, you can take part in an exciting afternoon game drive
returning to camp as the sun sets. If you arrive in the
afternoon, then there will be a short game drive on the way to
camp. Overnight at Mara Intrepids on a full board basis.
Mara Intrepids Tented Camp is situated in the Masai Mara
National Reserve. Accommodation consists of 30 individual tents
each equipped with en suite shower only facilities, mosquito
nets, a ceiling fan and a private verandah. A dining area with
tables and a bar is situated between every four tents. The
barbecue area can be used for private functions. The fully
equipped conference centre is able to cater for up to 20
delegates.
Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, bush
dining, nature walks, traditional dancing and cultural lectures.
In one of Africa’s grandest wilderness areas, you will have the
perfect opportunity to spot the Big-5, including black rhino,
and perhaps wild dog. The camp provides good photographic
opportunities by having leopard feeding in the evening. Both the
resident naturalist and anthropologist offer informative
lectures on the local area and people.
Children are very welcome at the camp and a specially designed
children’s program, called the Adventurers Club, is aimed at
keeping children entertained. Fishing excursions and balloon
safaris can be arranged at an additional cost.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Look forward to a full day game viewing in the park. Rising at
dawn with tea and coffee you go on a game drive before
breakfast, catching the animals before the heat of the day sets
in. Then further game drives throughout the day before returning
to the camp as the sun sets.

Day 3: Departure
Following an early
morning game drive and breakfast, there you will be
transferred back to the airstrip for the scheduled
flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be met and
transferred to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta
International Airport, where the tour ends. For those
who arrived after lunch on day 1, there will be morning
activities before returning to Nairobi late afternoon.

Day 1: Nairobi – Lamu, Kenya
Kipungani is one of East Africa’s most simple yet
sophisticated beach hideaways. A dream destination for those
seeking a true desert island holiday.
You will be picked-up from Nairobi city centre hotel and
transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight
to Lamu. It’s
a 90-minute flight from Nairobito Manda Airstrip
then a short boat ride to camp, which is on the
south-western tip of Lamu. Upon your arrival on Manda
Island the airstrip for Lamu, you will be transferred by
boat to Kipungani, where you will spent the next 2
nights.
The chalets are all secluded in shady palm trees that line the
600m beachfront and
constructed entirely from local materials, with Mkeka
grass floors and makuti thatch roofs. The large
interiors are comfortable, rustic and simple, with giant
king-size beds and furniture, all handmade from local
mangrove and palm woods. Each veranda is ocean-facing,
with Funzi sofas and chairs, piled high with colourful
cushions.

Day 2: Lamu, Kenya
Pleasure time! If you are looking for some relaxing
moments lay on the beach, swim in the pool or read a book on your veranda.
If you are up to some activities you can go on a bird
walk, make a day excursion or do some watersports. Complete
a beautiful day with seafood or some specialities from
the continental cuisine. So a brilliant retreat to
totally relax.

Day 3: Lamu – Nairobi, Kenya
Transfer to Lamu in the afternoon to connect with the
scheduled flight back to Nairobi. On arrival you will be transferred to Nairobi city
centre or
to the international airport for onward arrangements.
