DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Travel to Remote Botswana
On arrival in Johannesburg, you will set
off for the Botswana border. After
passing through immigration, you will
travel to Nata, a remote camp situated
on the Makgadigadi salt pans periphery.
Settle in and enjoy dinner while
listening to a tour run-through, before
camping for the night.
Day 2: Explore Chobe National Park
Meals: FB
Experience nature in its grandest form
and wind through the Chobe Forest
Reserves which connect to the great
Chobe River and National Park. Embark on
a game drive through the park, and
witness vast herds of elephant
congregating at the river.
After your game drive, head for the
grand Victoria Falls, where you will
check in at the Drifters Inn Victoria
Falls.

Days 3-4: Explore The Mighty Falls

The Victoria Falls is a destination
which encompasses not only awe-inspiring
scenery, but also a myriad of activities
which guarantee an exciting stay.
Exercise your adventurous streak and go
bungee jumping and white-water rafting,
or experience exhilarating aircraft
flips which provide you with unique
vistas of the powerful waterfall.
Spend your first night embracing local
culture as you are entertained by
traditional dancers, and enjoy a braai
(traditional barbecue) at the pool. On
the final night, visit a local
restaurant to gain a taste of this
area's nightlife.

Day 5: Travel to Secluded Kafue Camp
Meals: FB
Travel to Kafue Camp by crossing the
original railway bridge, and journey
through southern Zambia and the Lower
Zambezi River, before reaching Kafue.
Set up camp and enjoy the rural scenery
while relaxing at the swimming pool.
Days 6-8: Canoe Through Great Rapids
Meals: FB
Get ready to canoe down the impressive
Zambezi River, where its unpredictable
bends and swells provide an exhilarating
way in which to view game.
After this canoeing adventure, head to
the banks of the river where you will
camp beneath the stars, with the wild's
stillness keeping you company.
On the 3rd day, travel by boat back to
Kafue where a catered meal and
refreshing shower awaits.
Day 9: Journey to Luangwa
Meals: FB
Travel by vehicle to Lusaka, Zambia's
capital, and along the Great East Road
until you reach the overnight camp where
you will rest for the night.
Days 10-11: Camp in Hippo Territory
Meals: FB
Arrive at Luangwa National Park and
spend two days camping on the wide
riverbanks, an area frequented by hippos
and other wildlife.
Embark on a search for the rare leopard
while on a game drive through the
sprawling park, which is home to various
species of game.
To enhance your viewing experience,
enjoy a night drive led by knowledgeable
guides who will direct you to popular
night time viewing spots.
Days 12-13: Wade Through a Freshwater
Sea

Travel through Malawi and reach the
lively capital city of Lilongwe, an area
steeped in culture and tradition.
Visit the local supermarkets to buy
groceries and souvenirs, before heading
to Lake Malawi, an inland freshwater sea
which is ideal for snorkelling. Spend 2
days camping on its golden beaches,
where the rural serenity of your
location will relax and invigorate you.
Days 14-15: Visit a Mountain of Granite
Meals: FB
Head southwards and travel to Mulanje, a
granite mountain which rises 600m above
the surrounding forest and tea
plantations.
Explore this exotic area by hiking to
the plateau and enjoying panoramic
vistas of the surrounding African
plains. Camp here for 2 nights.
Day 16: Camp in the Chimoio Wilderness

Today, you travel to the isolated
Chimoio region, where you will be
camping in the wild for 1 night. Journey
via Blantyre to reach Mozambique, and
pass the Tete corridor, beside the
mountainous border between Mozambique
and Zimbabwe.
Day 17: Soak up The Sun at Vilanculos
Meals: HB
Travel through quaint villages, where
friendly locals and traditional housing
create a fascinating tour en route to
the sea. Arrive at sunny Vilanculos,
where the warm Indian Ocean is
surrounded by vast beaches populated by
throngs of tourists.
Dine at a local restaurant before
returning to the beach, where you will
sleep in a traditional thatched casita,
being lulled to sleep by the sounds of
gently lapping waves.
Days 18-20: Discover an Historical
Trading Port
Meals: FB
Journey along the coast towards
Inhambane, an ancient trading port.
Explore this old settlement and visit
the traditional market to gain a sense
of local African life.
Travel to Barra Beach Camp, where you
will stay for three nights. Absorb the
tropical atmosphere as you seek shade
under towering coconut palms, and sleep
in traditional casitas.
Spend your days discovering Mozambique's
unspoilt beaches on horse back, or on
foot. Enjoy snorkelling and scuba-diving
in the turquoise waters, where you can
view exotic sea life up close.
Enjoy a catered meal on your final
night, before heading to Maputo.
Day 21: Arrive in Vibrant Maputo
Meals: HB
Drive through a cashew-nut forest and
span vast floodplains before reaching
the sprawling capital of Maputo. Enjoy
dinner at one of the many restaurants
which line its streets, and make sure to
visit the infamous Fere de Populare.
Day 22: Explore the Kruger National Park
Meals: FB
Before travelling to the Kruger National
Park, explore Maputo's diverse blend of
culture and tradition, with Latino-type
cafes and markets standing beside
traditional African shops.
You will reach the Kruger National Park
before nightfall, where you will camp
for the night.
Day 23:
View Prolific Game
Meals: FB
Enjoy travelling through this premier
National Park, and spot a myriad of wild
animals, including the Big 5.
During the late afternoon, when the warm
African weather has cooled to a pleasant
temperature, make your way to the nearby
Drifters Hazyview Inn.

Day 24: Depart for Johannesburg
Meals: BB
After breakfast, take a leisurely stroll
around the inn's property, before
travelling to the busy city of
Johannesburg.
Arrive back at the Drifters Inn in the
afternoon before transferring to OR

flight home.
