DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: Lake Kariba
Meals: HB
Your adventure begins in Livingstone at
06:30 as you head into Zambia and make
your way to the shores of the huge Lake
Kariba, which is 290km long and 32km at
its widest. The lake’s fishing and
wildlife attractions provide valuable
sustenance for the communities living on
the shores. Your camp overlooks the
lake, the perfect place for a relaxed
sunset on your first welcoming day in
Africa.
DAYS 2 - 3: Lower Zambezi
Meals: FB
You drive down into the Lower Zambezi
Valley and spend two nights at your
lodge, which is on the banks of the
river. Enjoy a full day canoeing down
the Zambezi River, home of the tribal
mythical god, Nyami Nyami. The river
attracts elephants and other wildlife
from the surrounding wilderness. After a
day highlighted by bird watching and
game viewing, you have a relaxing
evening around a campfire recalling the
days canoeing.
DAY 4: Lusaka
Meals: HB
Leaving the Zambezi River behind you,
you head towards the capital, Lusaka.
This city is your overnight stop as you
camp on the outskirts of the city and
stock up with provisions for your time
in Kafue National Park. You visit a
local craft market in the afternoon.
DAY 10 - 11: Chobe National Park
Meals: FB
Crossing the Zambezi River on the
Kazungula ferry, you enter Botswana. The
Chobe River flows lazily along the
northern boundary of the Chobe National
Park, attracting some of the largest
herds of elephant in Africa. You take a
morning game drive in an open 4WD in
search of the lions which patrol the
river banks. In the afternoon you take a
relaxing river cruise to watch the herds
of elephant, lechwe, puku and other
animals quench their thirst during
sunset. Your tranquil camp is on the
banks of the river in Kasane and you
fall asleep to the sound of hippo
calling.
DAYS 12 - 14: Livingstone / Victoria Falls: End of Tour
Meals: HB
You enjoy spectacular views over the
Mosi oa Tunya or “the smoke that
thunders”, Victoria Falls. These
magnificent falls are one of the seven
natural wonders of the world. You camp
for 2 nights in Livingstone, Zambia,
named after Dr David Livingstone, with
ample time to enjoy the adventure
capital of Southern Africa. There are
