Cultural and Natural Sights-East (Harar, Awash, Dalol, Wukro, Mekele)   13 Days/ 12 Nights

Day 1:
Arrive at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Be met and welcomed by
Dinknesh Ethiopia Tour representative and transferred to Ghion Hotel.

Day 2:
After breakfast, drive east of Addis to Awash National Park. Enjoy a game drive in
Awash National park to see mammals and birds. Overnight Camping, Genet Hotel or
Meridian Hotel.

Day 3:
Drive from Awash National Park to Samara the capital city of the Afar regional
state, on the way enjoys the beautiful landscape. P.M facilitate the permit paper from the
regional tourist office and then proceed to Dubti for overnight Dubti Guest House.

Day 4:
Drive from Dubti salt plane to Afdera one of the salt lake. O/N Camping at shore of
the Lake.

Day 5:
Drive from Afdera to Dodom or Ahmed Lale depends on the settlement of the Afar
nomadic people to arrange the camels for our luggage and incase if you need for riding too
and start walk to the Erta ale Volcanic hills. Overnight Camping.

Day 6:
Arrive after overnight walk see the volcanic eruption at Erta alle. Overnight
Camping.

Day 7:
Morning more sightseeing at Erta all new erupted sites and back to our car at Dodom for lunch and drive 60 km to Waydodo.
Overnight camping at Waydodo village.

Day 8:
Waydodo-Ahmed Lale

Day 9:
Drive to the Asale Salt Lake visits the salt workers and the merchant from the
highland the salt market and the lake and proceed 17 km to Dalol and enjoy the
spectacular view and small hill, which is colorful by hot spring in several places. The hot
spring out with the sulfurs, potash and salt it forms spectacular formation. Late in the
afternoon drive Ahmed Lale. Overnight Camping.

Day 10:
Drive from Ahmed Lale to Dallol for more sightseeing. Late afternoon drive back to
Ahmed Lale for overnight camping.

Day 11:
Drive Ahmed Lale to Berhale, beautiful town in amazing rock formation and the
best place for picture of the Camel Caravan with the African Sunset. O/n Camping.

Day 12:
Drive from Berhaile to Mekele-the capital of Tegray region on the way visit the
Afar village over the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley system to the western highland.
O/n Axum Hotel.

Day 13:
Transfer to Mekele airport and fly back to Addis.Overnight Ghion Hotel.

Day 14:
Sightseeing tour of Addis & Shopping. Evening departure back to home.
