Madagascar Nosy Be: Amarina Hotel ****
The Amarina Hotel is situated in the northwest of Nosy Be at Amporaha. This
exclusive hotel with its tropical gardens is perfect for the discerning
traveller. All 26 superior & paraplegic rooms are sea facing and are equipped
with a veranda, air-conditioning, en suite bathroom with shower and bath,
separate toilet, double or single beds, mini bar, hairdryer, telephone, safe and
DVD-CD player. The 8 junior suites are situated on the first floor and 2 senior
suites on both floors with a lounge and kitchenette. For families there is a
superior family room.
Please note that the diving and activity centre is currently under
construction!! Amarina is currently using the diving centre based at Ventaclub
Andilana (15 minutes by speed boat from Amarina) for scuba diving activities.
Currently available: canoeing, pedalo, volley ball and table tennis.
Day trips can be arranged to nearby island of Nosy Fanihy where you can spend a
day just relaxing on white beaches offering awesome snorkelling. Paraplegic
rooms are available.
Please note: Only visa credit cards are accepted at the hotel. Transfers are by
car from the airport to the Andilana Beach in the north of Nosy Be and from
there to the Amarina Hotel by boat. This is a alternative solution because the
road in the north is so bad. Please note that by using the boat you will be
required to wade into the water so dress appropriately and take plastic bags for
your luggage.

Itinerary: 9 nights
DAY 1: Fly to Antananarivo (Tana), the lively Malagasy capital in the Central
Highlands. On arrival proceed through customs and immigration and make your way
to the domestic terminal for your flight to Nosy Be Island. A representative of
the hotel will meet you on arrival. Transfer by car and boat to the Amarina
Hotel where you will be staying for 9 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast
basis.
DAY 10: Transfer to the airport and fly back to Antananarivo. Make your way to
the international departure lounge and check in for your flight to Johannesburg
