Situated in the north west of Madagascar, 40 miles away from Nosy Be, Tsarabanjina is one of the islands of the Mitsio archipelago offering luxury and service at the highest level. The island is filled with the melody of extraordinary birds, lush vegetation, turquoise seas, white beaches and unspoilt reefs. A 1 1/2 hour transfer by speedboat from Nosy Be takes you to paradise. The hotel offers 18 comfortable wooden bungalows (9 chalets situated on each side of the island ensuring complete privacy). The double rooms all have bathrooms with separate toilets, private verandas, hammocks, table and chairs and breathtaking sea views.

A short walk to the main building and you will find an excellent restaurant offering seafood, local and cosmopolitan cuisine. For your pre-dinner drinks, there is a choice of two bars, the upper bar next to the restaurant or the colourful bar on the ground floor with its sandy floors. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style whereas evening meals are a la Carte. For something different try a seafood platter on the beach whilst watching the sunset. There is a small boutique offering a wide choice of Malagasy traditional and modern handmade crafts.

The reception has a safe where you may lock up valuables. There is also an IDD telephone, satellite fax and a TV room with seven TV channels including CNN and Canal Horizons.

The hotel offers several activities such as: Snorkelling (mask, fins, snorkel complimentary), water skiing, windsurfing, canoeing, and hobie cats. Volleyball and boulle every evening from 18:00 pm when it's cooler. Gym or aquagym in the morning to keep you fit and stretching in the evening for relaxation. The team will accompany you for outings around the island. For an extra fee try your hand at deep sea fishing or scuba diving.

On the island, you'll find a variety of birds. Whilst strolling around the peninsula you can visit the tomb of the Sakalava kings of the Mitsio islands. A short boat trip to the islands of 'les quatre freres' (the 4 brothers) gives you the chance to watch the sunset over the horizon. Climbing Ankarea will lead you to the top of the Mitsio islands with an impressing panoramic view. Visit the 'Grande Mitsio' with its small fishing villages.

Itinerary Tsarabanjina: 9 nights

DAY 1: Fly to Antananarivo (Tana), the lively Malagasy capital in the Central Highlands. Make your way to the domestic check in and fly to Nosy Be. You will be met by the hotel representative who will transfer you to the Corail Noir Hotel for the night (B&B)
DAY 2: Transfer to Hellville harbour. Boat transfer to the Tsarabanjina Hotel where you will be staying for 7 nights on full board basis.
DAY 9: Boat transfer back to Nosy Be Island and transfer to the Corail Noir Hotel for the night (B&B)
DAY 10: Transfer to the Nosy Be airport. Check in and fly back to Antananarivo. Make your way to the International Departure Lounge and check in for your flight to Johannesburg.
