Namib Desert –
Atlantic – Etosha Tour 10 Days & 9 Nights
Day 1 Your tour guide will
meet you at the Hosea Kutako International Airport and drive you to
your hotel in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. You have time
to recover from the flight, stroll around the central business
district of Windhoek, indulge in souvenir hunting or just relax.
Bed and breakfast at the hotel are included.
Day 2 We drive over the
Spreetshoogte pass in the southwest to the Zebra River Lodge in the
Tsaris mountains. This beautiful, private lodge is situated
approximately 90km from the Sesriem canyon. You have a swimming pool
at your disposal. We undertake a sight-seeing tour to the
spectacular gulches of the Tsaris mountains. Picnic on the way.

Day 3 We continue our
travels to the apricot-coloured dunes at Sossusvlei, said to be of
the highest in the world. The foothills of the dunes block the way
to the actual pan, which can therefore only be reached on foot or by
4x4 vehicle. On the return drive to the Zebra River Lodge we visit
the Sesriem Canyon.
Bed and full board are included.
Day 4
We drive through the
desert to the Atlantic Ocean and the old-world town of Swakopmund.
Along the way we visit the Welwitschia plain and 'moon' landscape
with a packed lunch in the desert. We overnight in Swakopmund with
bed and breakfast included.
Dinner is for your account.
Day 5
A 35km drive gets us
to the birds paradise just outside Walvis Bay. From here we take a
leisurely sight-seeing drive back to Swakopmund and surrounding
area. You are free to do whatever you please during the afternoon.
Overnight at Swakopmund – Bed and breakfast are included.
Lunch and Dinner are for your own account.
Day 6
We travel along the
salt road up the coast to Henties Bay and to Cape Cross to visit the
seal colony. From here we turn inland along the Burnt mountain and
organ pipes to Twyfelfontein where the Bushman paintings are between
300 to 1500 years old. We picnic with a packed lunch.
We book in at the Twyfelfontein Lodge for dinner, bed and
breakfast.
Day 7 We continue via the
petrified forest and the rock finger to the Etosha National Park. A
packed lunch is enjoyed at the rock finger. We arrive at Okaukuejo
Rest Camp in the Etosha National Park in the late afternoon for full
board and accommodation.
Day 8 We spend the day
leisurely driving west to east across the Etosha National Park in
search of lions, elephants, eland (the biggest antelope), Damara
dik-dik (the smallest antelope), giraffe's and many more. We enjoy a
packed lunch along the way and arrive at Mokuti Lodge for dinner,
bed and breakfast.
Day 9 We return to Windhoek
stopping at Okahandja to visit the indigenous woodcarvers market.
Lunch by way of lunch packs along the way. You are booked into a
Hotel in Windhoek with bed and breakfast included.
Day 10
Time for some
shopping before driving to the International Airport for your flight
back home
