DAY 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara

Start your journey from Nairobi with a scenic drive south to the Maasai Mara, pausing to admire the breathtaking Great Rift Valley. After a delicious lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in the Maasai Mara, home to the Big Five and the wildebeest migration, setting the stage for an unforgettable safari.

DAY 2: Maasai Mara Full Day Safari

Rise early to witness a Maasai Mara sunrise with a dawn game drive, capturing the predators in action. Optionally, soar above the park on a hot air balloon safari for a unique perspective, followed by a champagne breakfast. After a late breakfast, enjoy a full-day exploration of the Maasai Mara, tracking the wildebeest migration across the plains.

DAY 3: Maasai Mara – Serengeti (Kogatende Region)

After breakfast, fly into the Serengeti National Park. Your Shadows of Africa driver will guide you on an afternoon game drive, exploring the Kogatende area with its large populations of wildebeest, zebras, and predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

DAY 4: Serengeti (Kogatende Region)

Spend the day around the Mara River in Kogatende, where you may witness the thrilling river crossings as wildebeest and zebras brave the waters and Nile crocodiles. Capture these moments before retiring to your lodge in the heart of the Serengeti for the night.

DAY 5: Serengeti Central

Drive through the iconic plains of Togoro and the Mbuzi Mawe kopjes toward the Seronera region, known as "Big Cat Country." Experience a full-day game drive where you’ll spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and much more. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation in the Serengeti.

DAY 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This drive offers ample wildlife sightings, including wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and more. Overnight at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater or nearby Karatu Town.

DAY 7: Ngorongoro Crater

Today, experience the unique ecosystem of the Ngorongoro Crater. From endangered black rhinos to an abundance of predators, the crater floor is home to over 120 species of mammals. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before retiring nearby.

DAY 8: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara – Arusha

Drive to Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting day of bird-watching and wildlife sightings. With its tree-climbing lions, flamingo flocks, and unique bird species, this park is a photographer's dream. Return to Arusha for the night.

DAY 9: Arusha – Amboseli National Park

Cross the Tanzania-Kenya border and continue to Amboseli National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy game drives with herds of elephants, wildebeests, and zebras set against the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Overnight in Amboseli.

DAY 10: Amboseli – Nairobi

Wake up early for a final chance to see Kilimanjaro in the morning light. Enjoy breakfast before returning to Nairobi, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your East African safari adventure.
