Day 01: Arrival Entebbe Airport—Overnight

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide, who will then take you to your hotel for an overnight stay:

Day 02: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Np

After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala, and you will transfer to Bwindi near the gorilla sanctuary. Lunch will be en route in Mbarara at the Igongo cultural center. You may have a few en route stopovers, like at the Uganda Equator. Dinner and overnight stay at

Day 03: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi

After an early breakfast, depart to the park headquarters and proceed for a briefing from park ranger guides at 7.30 before starting your gorilla trek at 8.00am through steeply forested and beautiful landscape along several animal trails. Some of the terrain is steep and strenuous, but the reward of watching gorillas undisturbed in their natural habitat is unmatched.

Waterproof ankle shoes are recommended, or good athletic shoes. Wear thick long pants (not lightweight khakis) to protect your legs from the underbrush. Bring heavy, long socks that can be pulled up over the pants to prevent any problems with stinging nettles and ants. Bring a pair of sturdy gardening gloves and protect your camera with a rain cover (a plastic bag or shower cap can work!).

No more than eight people may visit any gorilla family on any given day, so you can be assured of an intimate experience with these impressive animals. Once you reach the gorillas, you have an unforgettable hour to spend with them.

After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch. This afternoon, you will be taken on a village walk to Bwindi villages subject to time and interest. This is a great opportunity to meet the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a unique way to support the local community. Or enjoy the evening to relax at the camp and trade stories with fellow adventurers.

Day 04: Drive/Fly from Bwindi to Entebbe to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, you will transfer by road from Bwindi to Entebbe, en route to lunch in Mbarara. On arrival, check in for your onward flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Upon your arrival at Kenyatta Airport, meet and greet with our representative, then transfer to The Boma Hotel Nairobi.

NOTE: For an option of flying to and from Bwindi, there is an extra cost depending on interest; that’s from Entebbe to Kisoro Airstrip and from Kisoro Airstrip to Entebbe. A flight takes 1 hour and 15 minutes, subject to flight routing. Then from Kisoro Airstrip, you drive by 4x4 vehicle for 1 hour to get to the park/lodge plus internal movements and back to the Airstrip.

Flight to Kisoro leaves Entebbe at 7.00am, arriving at 0815am, and from Kisoro, it departs at 0835am and arrives at Entebbe at 1125am (Schedule may change, subject to flight routing)

Day 05: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

0730 hrs. Pick up from the hotel and drive through the Great Rift Valley to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. 1230 hrs.
