This fifteen-day journey moves through three countries and some of the most recognised landscapes in Africa. It opens at Victoria Falls, which is 108 metres high and 1,708 metres wide and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1989. From Nairobi you travel into the Maasai Mara National Reserve, about 1,510 square kilometres at the northern tip of the Serengeti ecosystem. The route then crosses into Tanzania for the Serengeti National Park and the rim of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the crater is the largest intact, unfilled volcanic caldera in the world. The trip ends with four nights on Zanzibar, with a sea excursion, a spice farm visit and a Stone Town tour.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Victoria Falls and Sunset Dinner Cruise
You arrive at Victoria Falls Airport and are transferred to Bayete Guest Lodge. Spend the afternoon by the pool or exploring the gardens. In the evening you join a sunset dinner cruise on the Zambezi River, with a three-course meal on board.
Day 2 — Lion Walk or Elephant Encounter, and a Second Dinner Cruise
In the morning you can take an optional lion walk (ages 15 and over) or an elephant encounter, at extra cost. Lunch is at Bayete Guest Lodge. In the afternoon you join a Zambezi sunset dinner cruise with wildlife sightings. You overnight at the lodge.
Day 3 — Guided Tour of Victoria Falls and the Town
You take a guided tour of Victoria Falls and the town. Lunch and high tea are served at the historic Victoria Falls Hotel. You return to the lodge to relax and have dinner.
Day 4 — Victoria Falls to Nairobi
You have a relaxed morning, then lunch at the lodge. You fly from Victoria Falls to Nairobi, which is not included in the rate, and transfer to the Boma Hotel for the night.
Day 5 — Nairobi to the Maasai Mara
You drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to the Great Migration. After lunch you set out on an afternoon game drive. You have dinner and an overnight stay at a camp or lodge.
Day 6 — Full Day in the Maasai Mara
You spend the day on a full game drive with a picnic lunch. The Big Five may be seen, and cheetahs and a wide range of birds are common in the reserve, though sightings can’t be guaranteed. You have dinner and an overnight stay at the camp or lodge.
Day 7 — Maasai Mara to the Serengeti via Isebania
You begin with an early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara, then drive to the Isebania border and cross into Tanzania. Game viewing continues along the way as you reach the Serengeti National Park. You have dinner and an overnight stay at a lodge or camp.
Day 8 — Full Day in the Serengeti
You spend a full day on game drives across the acacia savannah of the Serengeti, with a picnic lunch. Lions and wildebeest are among the animals you may see. You have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge or camp.
Day 9 — Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim
You take an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, then drive to the rim of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game viewing along the way. You may visit Olduvai Gorge at extra cost. You have dinner and an overnight stay at a lodge or camp on the crater rim.
Day 10 — Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
You descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, which is about 260 square kilometres of crater floor, for a six-hour game drive. Rhinos, elephants and other wildlife may be seen, and you take a picnic lunch inside the crater. You then drive to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 11 — Arusha to Zanzibar
You fly from Arusha to Zanzibar on a domestic flight. On arrival you are transferred to a hotel in Stone Town for the night.
Day 12 — PCR Test and Guided Sea Excursion from Fumba
In the morning you take a PCR test. You then drive to Fumba Village for a guided sea excursion. The boat visits sandbanks, where you can snorkel, and you have a seafood lunch. You return to your Stone Town hotel for the night.
Day 13 — Spice Farm and Stone Town Tour, then North Beach
In the morning you visit a spice farm, where you see how spices grow and have lunch. In the afternoon you take a Stone Town tour, which includes the slave market site and the Palace Museum. You then drive to North Beach for the night.
Day 14 — Relaxing Day at North Beach
You have a full day to relax at your North Beach hotel, where you spend the night.
Day 15 — Departure from Zanzibar
You are transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your flight home, timed to your flight schedule. The international flight is not included.

Best Time to Go
This safari can be taken all year round. In general, the Great Migration across the Maasai Mara and Serengeti is often seen around mid-year, with river crossings frequently between July and October, though timing varies from year to year. The dry seasons generally suit game viewing across Kenya and Tanzania. The wetter months bring green landscapes and birdlife, though afternoon storms are common. Zanzibar’s dry months are generally June to October. Our team can advise on the best dates for your trip.

Do we need visas for these countries?
