Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro – Southern Serengeti (Ndutu Area)

Overnight: Figi Tree Lodge

Depart Arusha early and travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying panoramic crater views along the way. Continue toward the Ndutu plains, the heart of the wildebeest calving region.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Ndutu (Wildebeest Calving Season)

Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu Area, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather during the calving months. Witness newborn calves taking their first steps, dramatic predator hunts, and constant wildlife movement across the plains.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, followed by an afternoon game viewing before heading to Ndutu Wilderness Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart Ndutu for the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most wildlife-dense ecosystems.

Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive with excellent chances to spot black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and large herds of plains game.

Later in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day Tanzania calving safari.
