Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Southern Serengeti (Ndutu Area)

Your safari begins early in Arusha, driving through the scenic highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy panoramic views over the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater before descending toward the open plains of Ndutu.

In the Southern Serengeti, you will enjoy your first game drive, surrounded by massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. This region becomes the center of the migration cycle during calving, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu – Wildebeest Calving Season

Overnight: Ndutu Wilderness Camp

Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu plains, the heart of the Great Migration Calving Season (December–April). Witness thousands of newborn calves taking their first steps, dramatic predator hunts, and rare wildlife interactions.

Your day includes a relaxed bush lunch, followed by afternoon game viewing focusing on big cats, newborn calves, and migratory herds. End the day at the comfortable and safari-styled Ndutu Wilderness Camp.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart Ndutu and drive to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most wildlife-dense areas.

Descend 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive with chances to see the Big Five — black rhinoceros, elephants, lions, buffaloes — along with hippos, flamingos, and abundant birdlife.

Later, drive back to Arusha where your 3-day Wildebeest Calving safari concludes.
