3 Days – Nyerere National Park Safari from Zanzibar

This is one of the largest Park Tanzania. It offers multiple activities such as Boat safari along River Rufiji, Walking safari inside the Park accompanied by an armed ranger and Game drives.

NB – the same safari can be arranged with start and end in Dar Es Salaam. Or can start in Zanzibar end in Dar esl laam or Start in Dae es laam end in Zanzibar

ITINERARY

Day 1: Zanzibar – Nyerere National park

You will start your safari in Zanzibar Airport/Nyerere Int. Airport in Dar es laam where by you have to arrive 60 minutes before your departure time 0800hrs. On Arrival in Nyerere NP Mtemere Airstrip at 0915hrs or 0945hrs, you will be met by the driver guide who will transfer you to the lodge for check in. At around 16h00 in the evening depart for adventurous and romantic evening sunset boat safari along the great Rufiji River to spotting Hippos, Crocodiles and Birds, and enjoying the spectacular sundown. Day 2: Nyerere National park

After early breakfast depart for full day game drive in the Selous Game Reserve exploring the game in the surrounding areas. You may expect to see any of the major African great favorite mammals, including Elephant, Giraffes, Lions, Buffalo, Zebra and even the rare African Wild Dog. Picnic lunch shall be provided in the mid-day where by your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch animals coming to drink – a place with a clear view all round so that no predator can creep up hidden. Before end of the day return to the lodge and the rest of the evening will be spent at your own leisure. Dinner and overnight at.

Day 3: Early Morning Walking Safari – Departure to Zanzibar

Early morning walking safari into the Selous Game Reserve, usually start at 6-6.30am after early morning tea or coffee, accompanied by an armed ranger and it will take around 2-3 hours long. Walking safari is a fantastic way to experience more about the Selous Bushes. Although you may see wildlife during the walk, the focus is also on the habitat that the animals live in, insects, trees and birdlife. You will have an interesting and amazing experience to walk within such a vast area of natural reserve – an experience which very few places in Africa are able to offer!

After enjoying your breakfast in the morning, check-out followed by transfer to Mtemere airstrip for the departure on a scheduled flight at 1030hrs or 1250hrs to Zanzibar
