4 Days – Tarangire, Serengeti, Crater and Kilimanjaro from Zanzibar

This 4 day/3 Nights safari Tanzania starts and ends in Zanzibar Island; and perfect option for anyone who is based in the spice island of Zanzibar or anyone enjoying Zanzibar beach vacation. This 3 days safari from Zanzibar is the actually the best package one can do as a short safari from Zanzibar if you want to experience the real traditional wildlife safari in the Northern Circuit and interested in the Big Five.

NB – the same safari can be arranged with start and end in Dar es Salaam. Or can start in Zanzibar end in Dar es laam/Arusha or Start in Dar es laam end in Zanzibar/Arusha

ITINERARY

Day 1:  Zanzibar - Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Depending of the flight early morning departure from Zanzibar to Arusha, arrival to Arusha meet and greet then drive to Tarangire National Park with your packed lunch  for game drive. At 1300 hrs take your lunch in the park picnic area, Evening drive to Karatu for your Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Serengeti National Park

After breakfast departure to Serengeti National Park for a full day of game drives at the Great Serengeti, likely the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Evening drive to the camp for your dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater, descend into the crater floor with your lunch box for game viewing. The famous Ngorongoro Crate is rich of wildlife, each species have their own territories. Your packed lunch will be served on the crater floor at the picnic site near Lerai forest or hippo pool. Late afternoon ascend the crater drive to Kilimanjaro for your dinner and overnight at.

Day 4: Kilimanjaro – Airport - Zanzibar

After breakfast you will be picked up in pack view hotel in Moshi  morning, by our English-speaking guide, who then drive you to Materuni Village. Upon arrival, you will register at the village office and your trip can begin.

First you will visit the waterfalls, which are around a 40 minute walk away. On the way, your guide will inform you about the culture of the Chagga, village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The views are truly breathtaking, and with some luck you will see the summit of

Kilimanjaro. When you reach the waterfalls, you will see that they are more than 80 meters high. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim so don‘t forget your swimwear!

After having enjoyed the scenery, you slowly return with your guide to Materuni village, where you will experience a traditional Chagga lunch. You also will have the opportunity to taste our local banana beer – definitely not to be missed!

But that’s not all. Next the coffee experience awaits you. Here you will learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed. You will also be invited to help with the

Grinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances - a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture. 

At 11: 30 am you drive back to Arusha and drop off to Airport to connect your flight to Zanzibar for your onwards arrangement.
