Murchison Falls National Park · Lake Albert · Budongo Forest
.">This five-day journey takes you from Kampala into the heart of Uganda’s Murchison Falls country. The Victoria Nile is the star of the trip. It flows from Lake Victoria to Lake Albert and forces its way through a gap only about 7 metres wide before it drops over the falls, which stand about 43 metres high. Murchison Falls National Park covers about 3,893 square kilometres and is home to 76 mammal species and around 450 bird species. Game drives over the open plains, a river cruise to the foot of the falls and a guided walk through Budongo Forest, where chimpanzees are tracked, make this a varied and memorable safari.
