7 - Day Serengeti Safari Experience

Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
You will be welcomed on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) and transferred to Arusha.

Overnight: The African Tulip – B&B

Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha for a transfer to Arusha Airport (ARK) to catch your flight to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti, you will be welcomed by Cherero Camp (Kantabile Afrika) driver. Enjoy a hamper lunch in the Seronera area and a game drive for a chance to spot some big cats, before your slow transfer to reach Cherero Camp, about 2 hours away from the hub of Serengeti, depending on your driving speed. You will be warmly welcomed at the camp upon arrival.

Day 3: Central - Western Serengeti
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drive in Western Serengeti. Giraffes, wildebeests, elands, zebras, hartebeests, topi and lesser kudu are often seen grazing in the Western corridor throughout the year. There is also a good concentration of carnivores and elephants.

Dinner and Overnight: Cherero Camp – FB

Day 4: Transfer to Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, check out of Cherero Camp for your 6-7 hour of slow transfer to Aurari Camp in Northern Serengeti, with game viewing en-route. You have an option to go for Sundowners at Simba Kopjes just before the sun sets, if weather permits (at extra costs, advance booking required)

Day 5 & 6: Northern Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a couple of days doing game drives in Northern Serengeti where the herds are expected to be seen during this time of year. The movement of almost two million wild animals is the driving force of the ecology of most of the Serengeti eco-system. Great wildlife viewing is guaranteed because the young animals make easy prey. You may opt for early morning hot air balloon ride in one of the mornings to soar over the Mara River, for a most unforgettable experience (Optional hot air balloon ride: US$600 per person, advance booking required, advance booking required). Return to your camp for relaxation after your game drive.

Dinner and Overnight: Aurari Camp – FB

Day 7: Northern Serengeti to Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport
After breakfast, bid farewell to the staff at Aurari Camp as you enjoy game viewing en-route to Kogatende Airstrip for your departure flight. You will fly back to Arusha for hot lunch (at your own expense), before transferring to Kilimanjaro Airport by road, a 90-minute drive. For those who would like to have alternative arrangements made like an extension to Zanzibar, we can also assist.
