8 Days Tanzania Wildlife and Cultural Tour

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

• 0830 Hrs. After your breakfast, depart from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for a game drive.
• 1300 Hrs. Stop at the Picnic Site for Picnic Lunch,
• 1400 Hrs. Continue for the evening game drive, then drive to Manyara for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara Park + Mto wa Mbu Cultural tour
After your breakfast at 08.30, drive through the local village.  You will have Village walks (2-4 hours)
Get an inside look at the homes and exquisite crafts of Mto wa Mbu’s many tribes. Visitors will get a chance to meet locals and learn about banana beer, Makonde woodcarvings, and the tribal painting techniques; the village provides a great introduction to everyday life in Africa.

Later, with your packed lunch, go to Manyara Park for game viewing. At 1300 hrs, take your lunch in the park picnic area, later drive to Lake Eyasi Village for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi (Hunt with Bushmen-Full day Walking and Cultural)
After breakfast, drive a short distance from camp to the Endabagha River, one of the vital water sources that feeds this dry area. Here, meet your Hadzabe guide, who introduces the extraordinary life and world of his people, hunter-gatherer Bushmen, whose language involves a collection of clicking sounds. Return to the lodge for lunch and a bush walk later this afternoon. You will drive to the lodge, tent camp, or campsite for overnight.

The Bushmen are related to the Kalahari Bushmen of South Africa. They speak the same click language but do not understand each other, as they have been apart for very long. The Bushmen live a medieval kind of life style. They do not build permanent homes but follow the animals in the area as they trap and kill them for food. They are hunters and gatherers.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater—Serengeti 

• 0730 Hrs. After breakfast, drive and descend into the crater floor with your lunch box for game viewing. The famous Ngorongoro Crater is rich of wildlife; each species has its own territories.
• 1300 Hrs. Stop at the picnic site for picnic lunch, which will be served on the crater floor at the picnic site near Lerai forest or hippo pool.
• 1600 Hrs. Ascend the crater and drive to Serengeti for overnight.

Day 5: Full Day Serengeti  

• 0830 Hrs. After your breakfast, depart from your lodge for a game drive in Serengeti National Park.
• 1300 Hrs. Stop at the Picnic Site for Picnic Lunch,
• 1400 Hrs. Afternoon game in Serengeti, to return in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park-Lake Natron

After an early breakfast, morning game drive in Serengeti, then after, game en route towards north Serengeti. Check out of the park at Klein’s gate, then transfer to Lake Natron for an early dinner and overnight

Day 7: Lake Natron-Flamingos Breading Site/Cultural/Waterfalls

Lake Natron has often been described as being of lunar beauty and the “Mountain of God” by the Maasai. Spend your day on short walks with a visit to a Maasai pastoral livelihood. Visit breeding flamingos in the soda lake. Visit waterfalls and rift cliffs (water-shoes are required, and swimsuits!) Dinner and overnight

Day 8: Drive to Arusha and shopping time

Morning after breakfast, drive to Arusha for shopping in Arusha City, then transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
