Day 1 — Arusha to Serengeti National Park
In the afternoon you fly from Arusha directly to the Serengeti, arriving in time for an afternoon game drive. Seeing the great migration is a spectacular sight, and if you time your safari right you may witness huge herds of wildebeest moving together as the migration builds. You then check in at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, which blends luxury with the natural landscape, for the next two nights on a full board basis with shared game drives. The lodge has a spa, state-of-the-art technology and an infinity pool overlooking a watering hole frequented by elephants.
Day 2 — Serengeti National Park
Your second day on safari brings a morning game drive and an afternoon game drive in a shared vehicle across the great open plains, exploring the wildlife of one of the natural wonders of the world. The Serengeti is best known for the annual migration across the savannah, with thousands upon thousands of animals, particularly wildebeest, as far as the eye can see. It’s also famous for its cheetahs, leopards and lions, some of which follow the herds while others stay on the central plain, so every drive brings something different. Between drives you can relax at the lodge before dinner.
Day 3 — Serengeti to Arusha
After breakfast you take an en-route game drive to Seronera airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha. On arrival you’re transferred to Arusha town for your onward arrangements, and transfers out of town can be arranged on request.

Best Time to Go
No travel window was given for this itinerary, so the advice below comes from the Serengeti’s general seasonality. The wildebeest follow the rains through the year. They are found on the southern and eastern plains during the rainy season from about November to May, with a calving season from about January to March, and from the end of June, when the dry season begins, the migration moves north in search of fresh grazing. The dry months, roughly June to October, are usually the easiest for spotting wildlife around waterholes and rivers, while the green season brings young animals and fewer visitors. What baggage can I take on the flights?
Please bring soft-sided bags only. Baggage on internal flights is strictly limited to 15 kg per person, including hand luggage, and any excess is charged by the airline at check-in. All passengers must carry an ID card or passport for internal flights.
Will we see the great migration?
The herds move through the year following the rains, with about 1.5 million wildebeest in the ecosystem, so sightings depend on your dates. Our team can advise where the herds are likely to be when you travel, though wildlife sightings can’t be guaranteed on any given day. You can read more on the Serengeti National Park page.
What if the lodge is full, or prices change?
We may need to re-route the itinerary or place you in a similar lodge if the lodge isn’t available. Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may change without prior notice, which is beyond our control, and any increase levied is passed on to you.
