I loved that Wonders of Creation Tours & Safarissent us a notebook full of useful information about our trip, along with a book of the animals of Tanzania, to get us excited about our journey. I felt like we were informed about what to pack and what we needed document-wise, and I felt that the staff at Deeper Africa were available to help us in anyway.The guides and accommodations were outstanding! Our tents were comfortable with beautiful furnishings and linens, comfortable beds, and gorgeous bathrooms. Each tent had a front porch, providing a lovely place to view the terrain and wildlife and to have morning coffee. The animals were amazing, as were the people of Tanzania who worked at the camps! Our guides were extremely knowledgeable, bright, and entertaining! Trip of a lifetime.

"It's nice to know someone is following up on how tourists are treated. First of all, we had a great time, and the tour provided was very good. Everything went off without any real problems. The guide was very good, and the porters were incredible. Overall, I would say I am very satisfied with the service provided. The one thing I would say I was unhappy with was that when it came to the last day of our trek and time to tip the porters, the number suddenly went from the 8 we had every night in our camp to 12! This left us with a bad aftertaste as we felt we were being tricked. I think to overcome this, the company organizing should tell you exactly how many porters/guides are accompanying the client and how much is expected at the end. I would recommend this operator to friends overall, though, and we found the girl we dealt mainly with, Neema, to be very helpful and friendly to deal with."Operator Response: "We are sorry for the confusion regarding the number of porters. The Machame route is usually climbed by 8 porters for two people, but the number can vary depending on the weight of the bags. In your case, there were 12 people climbing, including guides and cooks. "We had a great time. All transport and accommodation were well organized, apart from the operator’s lodge on the first night. The Kilimanjaro trek was an amazing experience for both of us. It was well organized, and all our needs were met. The porters and guides were excellent. Benjamin and Christopher, the main guides, were brilliant and helped us reach the top. The food was good, and the campsites were of a good standard. Fabion was a nice guy but not experienced and got us lost a few times. Drivers need to take more initiative if animals are not being seen – they should know where to go! A full-day game drive to the sand river in Masai Mara or Serengeti would have been better than too many morning and evening drives. However, Martin was excellent and experienced and took us further out. We were always well looked after, especially when we became ill. We highly recommend this company for future trips. "Our 4-day camping safari was excellent. Traveling to and from the reserve consumed two of the days, but the other two days were a marvel. Sleeping in a tent was balanced out with excellent meals cooked by Hamad. I appreciated the detail and care with which the operator arranged the safari."
"I would be delighted to offer a short review of our holiday experience. From meeting us at the airport to our departure a fortnight later, Penel, from the tour company, Anton, our safari guide, and Meckson, our Kilimanjaro guide, were kindness itself. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything ran like clockwork, even when we altered our plans! The holiday was well organized, from planning our journey up Mt. Kilimanjaro, through to which safari parks to visit and which hotels to stay at – all within our price range, I may add. The whole holiday was a total delight, with, of course, the friendliness of the Tanzanian people and the beauty of the country all adding to the experience. I can’t recommend this operator highly enough and will certainly return to them when we plan our next holiday (funds permitting). "Just a few thoughts about our recent safari tour. Despite the initial pricing problem, I must say that the whole tour was very enjoyable, although not cheap. Very good and professional was the tour planning and the perfect logistics with dedicated personal involvement of Mwanaid. The transit hotels in Nairobi and Arusha were good and met the expected standard. The 'Kigongori Mobile Camp' was good, and all of us enjoyed the stay. This was also due to the pleasant camp crew and their personal touch. This includes our driver, John, who proved to be very experienced in finding the animals. The category 'luxury camp' is probably a bit on the high side, but we enjoyed it very much. 'Katavi Palahala' camp was definitely more on the luxury side. Management and staff were pleasant, and together with the good driver, made our stay a success. In both camps, we had the privilege to be more or less the only guests, so all the attention was directed to us. Lupita Island Resort was a memory of colonial luxury days – beautiful, different, and enjoyable. The resort management was professional, and the accommodation was something to remember. I also like to mention the well-organized air services and their experienced pilots. The good variety of food and drinks in all camps was plenty and tasty. All in all, a safari tour to remember, especially all those people who made it a success. Our special thanks go to Mwanaid."
