"Just a few thoughts about our recent safari tour. Despite the initial pricing problem, I must say that the whole tour was very enjoyable, although not cheap. Very good and professional was the tour planning and the perfect logistics with dedicated personal involvement of Mwanaid. The transit hotels in Nairobi and Arusha were good and met the expected standard. The 'Kigongori Mobile Camp' was good, and all of us enjoyed the stay. This was also due to the pleasant camp crew and their personal touch. This includes our driver, John, who proved to be very experienced in finding the animals. The category 'luxury camp' is probably a bit on the high side, but we enjoyed it very much. 'Katavi Palahala' camp was definitely more on the luxury side. Management and staff were pleasant, and together with the good driver, made our stay a success. In both camps, we had the privilege to be more or less the only guests, so all the attention was directed to us. Lupita Island Resort was a memory of colonial luxury days – beautiful, different, and enjoyable. The resort management was professional, and the accommodation was something to remember. I also like to mention the well-organized air services and their experienced pilots. The good variety of food and drinks in all camps was plenty and tasty. All in all, a safari tour to remember, especially all those people who made it a success. Our special thanks go to Mwanaid."
"From picking us up at a different airport to getting our lost baggage up to us after we had already started climbing, the tour operator really saved the day. The customer service was incredible throughout the trip, and we were able to create a very customized itinerary for our limited timeframe. "Our safari was, no doubt, a fantastic experience. Having the opportunity to watch wildlife up close was something I personally longed for, and I wasn’t disappointed. Our guide, Anicete, proved to be very knowledgeable and a nice guy who taught us a lot about nature. The camping safari gave us the chance to see some action at night too, like a couple of hyenas and jackals fighting for a carcass just five meters away from our tent. The cook, Reuben, was also great – he even cooked a Spanish tortilla for us after we gave him the recipe! My only advice to future travelers is to make sure they know exactly what they are buying from the operator. There were a few misunderstandings on our trip, but fortunately, they were friendly enough to solve it all very easily."
"Our safari was great. The operator was very helpful during the planning process and accommodated our requests, such as changing the beginning city of the tour and adding side trips. Most importantly, the company provided us with a wonderful guide, Huruma, whose English was great, and whose knowledge of the area and animals was vast. He made the whole trip a fantastic experience. My cousin, who lives in Tanzania, was very impressed with Huruma. If I were going again, I would ask specifically for him. Many thanks to this safari operator. "I was impressed with the operator before I even left the country. Chislon, my coordinator, was able to accommodate me to make a unique itinerary. I am 18 and traveling alone, so it was really difficult to find safari coordinators willing to work with my budget, and most dismissed me. My guide and driver, Eddie, was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and hilarious! He kept me laughing the entire trip.
